LED PAR & STATIC WASH

LED PAR Lights for Stage, Events and Venue Wash

Select a PAR by the field, color and operating position it must deliver—not by the PAR name or diode count alone.

PAR SELECTION BENCH

Match the source and optic to the lighting task.

Modern LED PAR lights can serve very different jobs despite a similar housing name.

COLOR

Multi-emitter color PAR

Flexible saturated color and mixed-color wash for stages and events.

SOURCE

COB PAR

Single-source style output for white, warm-white or color applications where the model supports it.

COVERAGE

Zoom PAR

Adjustable coverage where fixed mounting positions serve changing areas.

EXPOSURE

Outdoor PAR

Complete-fixture protection for weather-exposed and temporary outdoor positions.

INSTALLATION REALITY

Check the complete lighting position before choosing a housing.

Throw, mounting, barn doors, glare, noise, cabling and service access can matter more than a headline output claim.

01

Front and key light

Review white quality, beam control, glare, camera response and quiet operation.

02

Scenic and truss wash

Review color mixing, coverage, overlap, dimming and fixture spacing.

03

Floor and uplight positions

Review stability, cable paths, audience sightlines and heat or water exposure.

PAR APPLICATIONS

A static fixture can be the right tool when positions are known.

Simple mechanics can support repeatable coverage, but only when the field and operating conditions fit.

01

Stages and live events

Build front, side, back and scenic zones with controlled overlap.

02

Theatre, worship and studios

Prioritize quiet operation, fades, white light and camera testing.

03

Outdoor and architectural events

Confirm the complete IP rating, connectors, mounting and environmental limits.

PAR OUTPUT PROOF

Compare the complete field at real working distances.

Use neutral surfaces and representative camera settings where video matters.

01

White and skin-tone test

Show the exact white or mixed-white behavior required by the project.

02

Color and dimming test

Show saturated colors, mixed colors and low-level fades without hiding artifacts.

03

Coverage and accessories

Show beam shape, zoom positions, barn doors or lenses included in the quoted configuration.

PAR RFQ

Specify positions, fields and color tasks.

Avoid treating all PAR housings as interchangeable.

01

Lighting position

Front, side, back, floor, truss or outdoor placement.

02

Field requirement

Target size, throw, beam or zoom and overlap.

03

Color and camera

RGB/RGBW/white needs, dimming, video and noise limits.

04

Order details

Quantity, IP need, voltage, plugs, accessories and destination.

BUYER FAQ

Resolve category-level decisions before comparing quotations.

Model-specific claims still need to be checked on the exact product and ordered sample.

What is an LED PAR light used for?

LED PAR lights are commonly used for fixed or adjustable color and white-light coverage on performers, scenery, rooms and event spaces. The exact role depends on the source and optics.

What is the difference between COB and multi-emitter PAR lights?

COB models use a concentrated source architecture, while multi-emitter fixtures use arrays of diodes. Compare the actual field, colors, whites, shadows and dimming rather than the source name alone.

Do PAR lights need zoom?

Zoom is useful when one mounting position must cover different target sizes. Fixed-angle optics can be simpler when the required field is known and consistent.

Which PAR lights suit camera-facing venues?

Test the exact fixture with the intended cameras and settings. Review white quality, color, dimming, refresh behavior and fan noise.

Can an indoor PAR be used outdoors with a cover?

A temporary cover does not make the fixture outdoor-rated. Select a complete fixture designed and rated for the actual exposure and connection conditions.

What information is needed for an LED PAR quotation?

Share positions, throw, target areas, color and white-light needs, camera use, noise limits, indoor or outdoor conditions, quantity, voltage, plug and accessories.
